Huge Problem! I need help!
Hi,
I really need help. Just now I took a look in my ball python's enclosure and noticed that there are ants. I have no idea how they got in there and I'm really worried! Before today I haven't seen any of them and today there were at least 30 of them.
I will definitely clean out all substrate but I don't have enough for a full clean up so I have to go buy some in a shop which is far away.
What should I do to get rid of them? Can they hurt my snake (he seems to be bothered by them)? How can this even happen?
I haven't seen ants anywhere else in the room he is in!
Thanks beforehand!

Yes, they are black ants. They use a small gap to go in there (I found it) and no I don't have a living terrarium.
I think I am going to move my snake. He was suppose to move into his new terrarium this weekend or next weekend anyway (He is to big for the old one. It's 80cm long and he is about 1m). It's a bit more stressful for me but I can have the new terrarium done this evening. I think this might be my best option. I'll also buy ant baits so it won't happen with the new terrarium as well.
