I used to keep asian forest scorpions and desert hairy scorpions in addition to a few dozen tarantula species, but these days I only have a Mexican red knee tarantula and a Martinique pink toe tarantula. Was never bit by anything, but the urticating hairs from the red knee are itchy as all hell. Miss my scorpions though, they are awesome living fossils.

    Praying Mantis

Back in my College Days, I hatched a Chinese Mantis Egg Case and was keeping 600 of them individually in cups...everywhere...
Joshs Frogs was like 'WTH are you doing with all these insect cups and fruit fly cultures we are selling you?'

    Feeding:
Fruit Flies ---> small Lateralis ----> large Lateralis ---> adult crickets

    Good times....

I've kept ant colonies in the past, raised Yellow Swallowtail and Monarch butterflies for a Rutgers tracking project, and also have a secret want for a tarantula, and honestly want to explore quite a few more on top of my reptiles!

My dad is a bee keeper and so that's probably why I like them. Also, raw honey right out of the comb is SOOO good.

    I had to go centipede/millipede.

Giant centipedes are fascinating, impressive creatures.

10000000% NOT an option, Katie simply wouldn't agree to it, but I think they'd be pretty cool to keep.

I'm also going with the praying mantis. Not because I want to keep them, but because I love seeing them outside eating stink bugs and Japanese beetles.
