Do gravid bps have typical bowel movements?
I was pretty much convinced my snake Rosemary had just completed her post-ovy shed. She is large, has been coiling on the heat and has several locks since November. So she sheds and passes some urine and urates, and no bowel movement which is similar to how my other snake went through her pregnancy (gravidity?) last year. Then today she poops a healthy amount.

Can ball pythons poop like normal while gravid? All the research I've done has mentioned not pooping or just passing very small not typical poops. At this point I think she's probably not and I'm feeling discouraged.

Typically, by the time they get to post-ov shed, they have been off feed for long enough that they ought to be empty. My gravid girls are only passing the occasional urate.

Depends on feeding frequency, prey size and when she last ate.

If a female stop eating long before ovy, there will not be any bowel movement. If a female ate right up to ovulation she will have a bowel movement after ovy and there for while gravid.

Once the animal is empty there is nothing there to eliminate, once the animal resume feeding it will take a few weeks for the female to resume normal bowel movement.
