    Very Succesful First Feed
I bought myself a 3 1/2 foot python last weekend, dont worry i do know what im doin lol. So anyways today i went lookin for a frozen adult rat to feed my male bp. But unfortunatley i could not find a pet store that had frozen ones in stock. So i went ahead and bought a live adult rat. And i think ill do it again because its very cool watchin my bp kill the rat. The minute the snake hit the rat, the rat let the yelps out of it for a couple of seconds until it started to loose its breath and slowly die. Im deffinetley gonna feed it another live rat again. The Snaked down the rat in like 5 mins, i was quite surprised cause it was quite big. Well i thought i would share that story lol

Here we go again. Another person that feels the need to tell us that he likes to see his BP kill a rat and goes a step further describing it in detail. Please go away, nobody is interested.

Im sorry that you have such a weak stomach. By the way if u dont like the feeding topics then stay out of the "threads" that say "feeding" on them.

Jamie is right. When I read your thread I assumed that you were having difficulty feeding your ball python which can be a common problem. However, when you say things like:

It shows your lack of respect for the python and the rodent. Most, if not all of the people on this site do not feed their snakes because they get a thrill out of watching the rodent die. It has nothing to do with a weak stomach. I, for one, do not see anything glamorous or exciting about seeing an animal lose its life.

Exactly Lawrence, its an issue of respect. We feed our snakes as part of the process of taking care of a living creature, not to watch them kill. I don't go out into the field and bash a cow over the head so I can watch it die before I eat.

I have lots of respect for my bp, thats why i gave it the best home that i can give it. But as gose for the rat, your right i dont have respect for the rat, cause the fact is, its just a rat. So get over it. I personaly dont like the rat, so why would i have respect for the rat? its just food for the my BP. If u got an issue with this, go tell somebody who cares. If it has something to do with my bp then tell me, cause that is one thing i care about, not some stupid rat.

I'm 100 percent behind Jamie on this one.
There's no need to share your story on here.
If you prefer to feed live, that's perfectly fine.
I don't see a need for you to post your details and put others in grieve.

    Keep it cool guys.

I respect the rat, if for no other reason than it feeds my beloved snakes. Without the rat, (or other feeder) there is no snake.

Plus that, rats are intelligent and amusing animals.

I am just not going to post anymore on this thread. The person is just looking to stir things up.
