New male burm has funny looking snoot???
So I have acquired my new pearl burm almost two weeks ago now and to me it seems like his snout has something funny going on(gap between the lips)sometimes it looks bad sometimes it don’t. Is it caused from pushing? Any ideas appreciated. Included are two pics one of when it don’t look bad the other looks badhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a8f78cc29d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ac4306bd1e.jpg

In the second Pic..whats that brown discoloration just inside the bottom lip? Has he always had that? Maybe just looks funny in the Pic? If you don't know or haven't noticed check into it. That bothers me with the mouth open and seeing that discoloration. Dont want to throw terms around but Mouth Rot can make a snake do that and the brown would concern me.

Yeah he got that from the bedding it’s all white as should be now... it just gets me how he looks normal in first pic and second pic it’s a large gap in between jaws. Would nose rubbing or striking glass cause this? First time ever seeing it

I examined his mouth also and it’s nice and pink no puss or saliva running and such

That seems like a fairly large mouth gap to me as well, if you aren't getting any discharge or odd breathing sounds I would bet it's from pushing but only you know the behavior of your snake. Is he constantly pushing?

Since I had him he constantly pushes unless his stomach is loaded down. I just double checked inside his mouth and it looks great accept it’s a tad bit red on the front (dumping from pushing. Tried getting s pic but he did not want to go easy.

Just irritated I didn’t see that when I bought him but lord knows I would have bought him anyway lol. I put some neosporin on it (non pain killer of course) and he is in shed atm

Id just watch, sounds healthy so I wouldn't worry.
As far as the substrate I cant stand that getting in the mouth, then again I worry about my snakes like a Nut so I use paper only hahahha

Like others have said, that brown residue raises concern. The gap could be from him going into shed. I notice some of my snakes get kind of derpy with thier mouths when they are shedding. Also their heads get big and swollen on top. Then after the blue, they shrink and go down to normal again.
