New Beautiful Baby, Need Help Trying to ID
    Hey All,

I just got this lovely Banana/CG Ball Python and i'm looking for help identifying the rest.

It has green eyes, clear belly (no yellowbelly that i can see), tons of cute very light yellow blushings coming in and pre-existing(pastel?), only about 5-7 freckles so far(banana/cg), and that lovely gold/orange tint to the yellow as you get to its sides. Beautiful standard "mojave" patterning with those "alien heads".

Let me know what ya think!!!

Any thoughts i've had so far have at best led me to:

    Banana/CG, Enchi-Lesser, Butter, Pastel.

    welcome to the forum!

i don't see any Mojave in that animal at all; definitely not a standard Mojave pattern. i do see a Banana Pastel. :)

EDIT: what were they sold as?

It was sold to me as a "Banana Ball" because the store owner told me the breeder didn't know who the female was and could have been many. Guess they just lost track of who the male bred with. I'm trying to get the gene info of the male.

Might it just be a 2-gene, banana/cg + pastel? Obviously I won't see anything that's Het. So there might be something sneaky in there lol.

if it was sold as a Banana then it is a Banana until proven otherwise, but with green eyes and the blushing on the dorsal i'd bet money on Banana Pastel.

Whats the best way to reverse engineer all its traits/genes? Breeding to a normal ball?

yes, but buying from a reputable breeder would have saved you a few steps (and years). :gj:

The owner and employees were throwing out things like butter, enchi-lesser, and some others. But i'm extremely novice when it comes to knowing all the morphs and how they can look so it was all I had to go with.

you're referencing Enchi, and Lesser/Butter genes. Butter and Lesser are the same gene, they just started out as separate lines. Enchi is a pattern-reducing gene as well as some color enhancing. with the alien heads i doubt Enchi. i also doubt Butter/Lesser due to the coloration.
