Another Incubator Question
I am getting an old broken fridge to convert into an Incubator.
The fridge does seal, it is a fully enclosed design, no see through panels.
My plan is to line the back and sides with Heating Pads, and attach a fan to the top of the roof inside the fridge, circulating air from top to bottom.
My question is this: Where do I position the Thermostat Probe?
Do I need to put digital thermometers in each egg tub?
All answers will be greatly appreciated.
I have successfully bred Colubrids and other Python species in the past, but this is a whole new 'Ball' game, excuse the pun.
My philosiphy is, "Do It Right, Or Don't Do It At All".

That's over-killed I piece of heat tape running in the back is more than enough .

Because temperature will vary from top to bottom and because there will be a difference between the temp in the incubator itself and the temp in the tub, I recommend to set a dummy tub (set like a real egg tub without the eggs). Remember egg temps will rise toward the end of incubation so it is best not to put a probe in a real tub with eggs.

I recommend top, middle and bottom.
