I saw a tiny white bug on my ball python?
I think they're called tan mites, but I'm not sure. It was extremely tiny, and was on her neck.
I'm assuming it (or they, I should say; if there's one, there's more) came from the Aspen shaving substrate?
I just fed her, so I can't give her a bath for a couple of days. I can clean the enclosure out then, but I'm only going to have to put in more shavings. I am building her new enclosure this weekend, and after that I'll go bioactive (I have to order everything online; there are no places around here selling the necessary supplies, so it'll take another few days, and I can't order until Monday). Then I'll have a new substrate, springtails (I read somewhere that they kill mites?), and hopefully isopods.
Until then, what are your suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you! I will try that. I didn't realize the aspen shavings should or could be baked. No one mentions these things when you're doing research lol :/.
Pretty sure the supplies will be coming this week or next, as we've finally ordered everything, so I'll be able to switch everything over then.
