    Quick AP T-10 Setup Question
I posted this in my build thread entitled SWIPER gladiator but it might not have gotten a ton of views and I’m at the point where I need to either cut my backdrop down or let it be.

I have built Styrofoam backdrop. To emulate a Roman Colosseum… The back wall of the PVC enclosure has slotted grooves which I Soum is to let Erin and I both corners and also in the middle at the top… My backdrop covers up those slots I can certainly trimming down about 3 inches if needed but I have humidity issues anyway my house so I wonder if covering those up would not be such a bad idea anyway pics below… Any thoughts?

With unpainted backdrop sitting flush against back wall:

Tilted slightly down so you can see the upper corner slots and upper middle slots

I suppose I could leave it as is and monitor humidity to see how it goes then if I need to change it out I could take everything out and do it it would just take some work to do that… There are air slots on the side of the tank just not sure if that would be enough.

couldn't you just cut out the slots from the styrofoam so air can go through?

Cut a pocket to make access to the slots or...place the foam against the back of the cage and trace the slots so you can cut them out

I had to cover my back holes with Tape on the outside anyway.. I left the side ones for Ventilation. My humidity was low.

It's all of you people posting pics of your new AP-10s that are making me wait so long for mine. [emoji24]

Seems like a job for a heat knife and a very steady hands if you have both, that or a thin file, but be prepared for a mess LOL.

I've sealed the bottom joints with the silicone AP provided but I'm struggling to figure out where to put the Herpstat probe.

I've read through 5 pages of searched threads and I'm no better off lol.

I'm using RHP only and the RHP is on the right side. Im also using separate wireless Accurite thermometers for EACH side just to have a good indication of temp and humidity for each side.

I'm assuming I want the probe on the cool side? Tank will be in a main living room that stays about 70 year round. Lowe humidity during winter.

Problem is, some of the search threads have the probe just dangling, some have it laying on the substrate, some have it attached to the back wall. I even saw one pic of it clipped right up near the RHP but not touching it.

Ill have a big corner hide in right side under RHP and corner water bowl on cool side.

    Thanks in advance -

I thiiiiink you actually want it on the warm side, right under the RHP, according to the PVC cage tutorial I found here. I don't know how far under it is acceptable, however, but hopefully someone with some experience will chime in and solve the mystery. :)
