mice to rats. hard?

how can switch from live mice to live rats and later from live rats to frozen rats?
if i allow my ball for 1 month without food they will have more possibilities to eat rats

I just bought a small rat after three weeks of feeding three mice a week. He took it with no problem or hesitation. As for going live to frozen/thawed I have no idea. I feed live rats.

i found that by switching to a juvie rat that was approx 2x the size of the mice i had been using Monty not only got interested quicker (hes a bit of a finicky eater) but that the mass that hes but on since i switched him over is probably double his original wieght

Jake took to rats just as well as mice. I guess I got blessed with an awesome feeder! He'll take anything. I think if I put a stuffed animal in there, he'd probably try to kill/eat that too! lol

Just make sure to get an appropriately sized rat, and all should be fine.
