That could be normal. Depends on the size at hatching. What was he feeding here before you got her?

How long have you had it now? Has it eaten for you? Whats your feeding schedule. Is its spine sticking way out? Give us some info to help..If its truely 7 months and 83 grams id have it quarantined and away from my other snake. Thats way under weight. They are Born 65 grams normally. It could be several things including Not 7 Months old or it could be starved or have parasites.

They dont even eat mouse pinkies when they are born. You feed a prey the size of the thickest part of the snake. Without any info on your setup or anything we cant help you. Temps need to be correct and controlled by a thermostat, 78-81 ambient 88-90 hot side and they need correct hides etc etc etc... Your going to have to read the Stickys here on their care. Nobody here knows anymore than you about the snake you have. It sounds like its starving if the belly is sucked in and spine is sticking up. How terrible. If you fed it a couple days ago it might not be ready to eat yet. Set a schedule for every 5-7 days. Feed in the evenings 8-9pm. Keep it dark. Place the prey in front of the hide door and dont stand over it making it nervous.. They like privacy, read all the info provided on BP Husbandry.

Do you have a thermoSTAT connected to the heat mat to regulate your heat?
