Anyone have a garter snake care sheet?

I've become very interested in keeping a pair of female garter snakes. Been looking online for care guides and can't find much consistency.
ReptileMagazine says they need a basking spot of 90-95° (which i doubt) and no mention of ambiant temperature gradient. An the top guide on YouTube says as long as temps are between 70-80° your good, no hot spot needed.
Are there any garter snake breeders or experienced keepers who can share a care sheet I can use?

Awesome, very thorough guide.

Another good web site (including care sheet) is http://www.gartersnake.info.

For what it's worth, I have kept redsided garters and both kept and bred plains garters.
