So one answer of yes fine, one of not fine. AP appears to use a single flat nut on one screw only. Any other input?

i would consider that almost a catastrophic failure. a catastrophic failure can happen to a Herpstat and your snake can die as a result.

i think that works better.
Edit: i'm not sure about the hardness of the T8/AP PVC's. u might have to use a larger drill to make screw heads sit flush if the material is not malleable. u may also use silicon or sealant to help adhere the RHP to the PCV in addition to the screws as well.
Re: AP T8 RHP installation
my RHP in my T8 uses only screws and sits securely against the top; been that way for over a year. i don't think it's necessary to use a nut, but any precaution you can take is good.

.
Understood but Im not a gambling man :)
I also have Large panels. 24"Lx15"D. I would never use just a screw myself.
I hear ya about failures even on our Tstats.. but I figure at least I have the Safety shut down & you can double up on Tstats too hahahaha
Re: AP T8 RHP installation
Just heard back from AP as well- they say RBI are fine without the tnuts, they use them on the pro products as they're heavier. Fortunately for me the two panels I got locally are RBI. The panels weigh next to nothing- though I may go the route of nuts on inside for added security. Thanks everyone.
