Is This Scale Rot?

I just got my first ball python, Peanut, 2 weeks ago (and am posting here for the first time). I took him out the other day and noticed a couple scales that looked a little dry/lifted and discolored. I really doubt it's a burn because his UTH is hooked up to a thermostat, has a thermometer probe right on top of it, and is checked with an infrared temp gun right on top of the glass multiple times a day. I've talked to my vet and am going to send her pictures, but I was wondering what you all thought too for future reference. Here are some pics of him.

The discolored spots are pretty small so I circled them. The first pic shows a small line of brownish scale pieces. The second shows 2 discolored brownish spots (the 4th one is another angle of them). The third is one small discolored spot, and the last one is 1 lifted scale right between his spurs.

scale rot happens when a snake is living in sopping wet bedding and/or their own poo/pee/filth for a long while, so i hope that's not how you keep him. ;)

what type of substrate are you using? they kinda just look like some dirty scales; definitely not scale rot.

Thank you so much! He's only pooped once since I got him but I cleaned it as soon as I saw it. I had been spraying my substrate liberally for a couple days but stopped as soon as I noticed the weird scales. Not sopping wet but definitely pretty damp. Like I said only for a couple days, but that's the main reason I was worried about scale rot. It's all dried out now and I haven't misted it like that since. I have Zoo Med Forest Floor bedding which is cypress mulch.

It’s way too wet/humid it takes a week for my combo of forest floor and coco to balance out. But it maintains 55-65% humidity. I MIGHT spray ones or twice every other week. But I also live in central Florida.
