    Western hognose cage size?
Is a 10 gallon tank big enough for a male western hognose snake for its whole life? I have a female western hognose in a 20 gallon long but females get bigger than males.

10 gallons is perfect for an adult male that will generally max out at 150 grams whereas a female will reach 400 to 600 grams.

That's one of the great things about hognose, they don't take up much space!

My boy, Cosmo, will be moving into his 10 gallon forever enclosure fairly soon. He's in a 2.5 gallon now and at 53 grams still fits in their comfortably.

Hi Deborah! I just picked up a baby Hognose and I since I dont like glass tanks I wanted to ask what size tub could I use until he gets a little bigger? I was thinking like the size of a shoe box, but does the saying " smaller is better" apply to the hognose as well? I appreciate your advice..
