    UTH Question
I've looked at the UTH setup diagram, but I want to know if you remove the backing (covering the sticky side) or if you can leave the non-stick protector on when using foil tape (I know the UTH goes on the outside of the enclosure). Also, I leave at least an inch of cypress bedding, will I probably need to thin the level? It's an AP cage that so far I've been controlling so far with CHE's but with winter temperatures I'd like to use a UTH for the first time so I can get his hot hide temperatures to the optimal range without making the top of his hide or ambient too hot.

Oh, also what brand of UTH do you all recommend? Is ZooMed decent?

You can put regular foil on the sticky part of the uth. Then use foil tape to secure it to the tank bottom.

Substrate over a uth should be no more than 1/4 inch.

You NEED a thermostat on the uth. You have one right?
