humidity problems!😞

The humidity is about 80- 85 i have a glass cage with glass top one side is 86 degrees the other is 77 i moved the water to the cool side what can i do or is somthing wrong?

What are you keeping? 80% would be fine for most frogs for example.

A ball python i belive the humity is to high

That is a bit high. I would try and drop it down to 65-70%. You have 2 choices. Either switch out to a smaller bowl so less water surface or create more air flow. No idea what your set up looks like so cant really comment there, just giving you 2 options.

I have the smaller bowl i think i may switch to a screen top but afraid the humity might be to low then

Well if you know how to drill holes in glass, can do that. Can also just switch from glass to a piece of acrylic. That stuff is fairly easy to drill and then just start of with a few holes and add holes until you get the desired humidity.

Depends how you have ti set up. Do you have the glass over screen? Or is the glass the actual only thing between the lamp and the snake? if so, how are you using a heat lamp through the glass without the glass getting too hot to the touch? When i use CHEs, i use them over screen tops and then just cover off 3/4 of the screen top with tin foil which works fine. You can get fancy and have acrylic cut to fit except right at the CHE spot. So say you use an 8 inch dome, you would have the place cut like a 7 inch circle where you wanted the CHE dome to sit. Or if you are cutting it yourself, and dont have something to cut a circle, just cut 3 or 4 square pieces that can be siliconed together to create a square where the dome will sit.

I have had my humidity anywhere between 50% and 99% and the snakes seem happy. I try to keep it around 65-70%, but occasionally water gets spilled on the substrate. As long as the substrate they are laying in (paper, mulch, earth, whatever) isn't wet, they won't get scale rot. If they are laying in wetness, I clean the tub up and dry it out, but I don't think 80-85% ambient air humidity is really a problem.
