Quick Question about Shedding
I fed my BP 3 nights ago. He struck and missed and decided he was done trying so I left the f/t mouse in the enclosure and came back the next day to find it gone. This had been the norm for several months up until recently he started to strike and actually connect / eat.
Well today, I went to check on him and to my surprise, I found him in mid shed. This is the 2nd time shedding since I've had him and the 1st one was a perfect shed. This time it looked like his head and neck were completed and detached but the rest had not come off yet. The humidity was reading 77%. Should I let it ride its course and check back tomorrow or should I mist (something I've yet to do).
Also, I'm wondering if the missed strike feeding 3 days ago was due to the upcoming shed. Hopefully one of these times I'll recognize a shed is on its way. I had NO IDEA it was coming.

I would soak him for 40 minutes in water that comes only half way up his body at about 80 to 82 degrees. Then let him slither thru a washcloth in your hands. Some like to put the washcloth in with them from the start. Hope this helps. Good luck
I'm not sure how to double check the humidity since it consistently reads in the 70s. I've tried other hygrometers in the past and got about the same readings. In any case, I just checked on him and he's roaming the cage, under the paper substrate (1st time seeing that) and it looks like more shed is coming off. I'll check on him tomorrow to see how much progress was made.
