    Do tubs need holes?
    Hello,
Is the holes in the tub must?
Currently, my humidity stays at 60% without any holes with lid on the top. At the moment, humidity seems perfect but if I put some holes on there, I'm afraid humidity might go down.
If it is better to put holes, what is the minimum number of holes I should make? so I can minimize the humidity drop.

I would put some holes in, I usually just put enough so that it doesn't fog up

A few would help keep the air fresh inside. In mine I have 6 to 9 holes in the lids. If it were me I'd add four holes in the lid and see what I get.

I've never used tubs, but after this winter I'm considering it. Is there any benefit to holes in the lid versus holes in the sides?

I have holes on the sides of my tubs near the top. About 5 on each side.:)
