I use ceramic dog bowls in most of my cages. They work fine.

You can use almost anything as long as it is heavy enough that the snake doesn't tip it over.

I wouldn't worry about weight. You're not going to find a bowl heavy enough to guarantee that. If the snake wants it flipped it's getting flipped. What helps is a wide bowl with a flat bottom making it hard for the snake to get under it.

Also if you have substrate digging it out underneath the bowl so the bowl sits on the actual cage floor helps.

So I am guessing what I put up there is fine? Size wise too?

    Yes, and yes.

I use about that same size for my three smaller Bloods. I'll even use if for my big Blood if she dirties her's up, which is only about 10 inches wide. The size doesn't really matter as I've found they'll drink out of any size. As long as it works for you and the enclosure the snake will use it fine. Just keep water in it.

Now if the snake likes to soak you may need something larger but with a BP that shouldn't be an issue.

I personally like to provide a water bowl big enough for my snake to soak in. Not that she's ever soaked since I got her, but the option is there.

I use plastic dog bowls from Wal-Mart, $2 each. Theyre probanly about 9"×9" square.

I bought a bunch of them and just swap them out every water change, wash them in between uses.

Thats tiny.. 5" diameter is nothing.
I use 5 quart bowls from Tractor Supply Plus/ Country Max ect.. The larger ones will help with humidity too. They have Pink Camo or Regular. They also have thick soft plain black rubber in the same size. These are heavy enough when filled. They Measure about 12" diameter. My snakes dont soak, but they do "wade" and go through it now and then :)

I use smaller water bowls for my Royals:Balls as mine just don't soak - seems like a waste of space tbh .
