Post a photo of a first snake enounter here!
I always have new visitors over to see my collection of snakes and its always interesting to get non-snake people in to hear what they have to say about them. I had this couple over from church, neither one had experience with snakes. I got Jim to hold a ball python, he was surprised how soft and velvety it felt. I couldn't get Sharon to hold one, but as I was going through tubs and taking out snakes to hold them and show them off she was surprised that I wasn't getting bit and asked if they ever bit me or if they didn't bite because they knew me. They heard that I had a snake and wanted to see it, boy were they surprised when I showed them a whole collection! It was an amazing encounter!

I've shared these before, but figured this thread merits a re-post.
These were taken this past Father's Day. I had my father, grandfather and brother over to celebrate 3 generations of Frechette fathers.
My niece, who was 2 at the time, had her first snake encounter, but wouldn't quite touch the snakes. She asks about them all the time and says she'll touch one next time. We'll see. She's interested, but I'll let her dictate when she's ready.
She is pictured below checking out Tyson, my BP (he looks so small in that pic!) while my brother holds him and my father keeps his distance (he's not "afraid" just "creeped out" and has no interest.).
The other picture is my 97 year old grandfather holding a snake for the first time. At first he said "hell no" but a minute later said "what the hell, I'm 97 years old, if it eats me let it." Hahahahaha. I explained that a bite would hardly hurt. He laughed and put his hands up to take the snake. He's pictured with Django, my adult Cal King.
Truly one of my favorite days ever. It was an honor to host 3 generations of Frechette fathers at my house and introduce my family to snakes for the first time. The fact it spans 4 generations is extra special. My niece, Riley and Pepere are 95 years apart, but sharing their first snake experience...
I can't wait til next Father's Day.

this is my little cousin Mackenzie's first time! she's 6, and we are 20 years apart by 3 days.
she wasn't so fond of the pythons, but once she held Corny she was OBSESSED!!! probably because he was more her size. now whenever we have a family get together she always asks about Corny and if i brought him with. [emoji849]

Some friends of ours came by to see the new baby. They'd never held one before. Rob was ecstatic but unfortunately his wife wasn't as excited. Haha. I had a picture of my oldest son the first time he ever held a snake but the dang thing won't upload.. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...327df154b7.jpg
