    What Happened to These Scales?
    Noticed this patch on my Ball Python: https://i.imgur.com/3IX6H8H.jpg

    Can't tell if it's scale rot or a minor injury. His stomach is completely clear of any marks or discoloration. He shed about a week ago so it'll be a while before I can see if it clears up with shedding. Cleaned his cage a week ago too and I spot check daily.

    Don't worry it doesn't look like scale rot, it might be a small dent like injury, my Bp has that sometimes, I don't think it's harmful

    It would be good to check with the vet though if you want to be sure :)

    just dents from the way the snake typically curls up in their hide, or from the hide not having a smooth surface. either way, nothing to worry about.
