    Shedding process question
    hello
I had a quick question about sheddig process.
I know that after ball pythons get blue eye, it is a sign of shedding.
so does that mean as soon as they get blue eye, it is not going to eat generally?
also how many days after getting blue eye do they start to shed? And how long do they shed?
i would like to know how long it takes them to fully shed after gettig blue eyes, kind of like process of their shedding

the whole process can take up to two weeks, but sometimes it can take longer depending on the individual. two of my females take 7 days from the first sign of blue to finding the skin in the enclosure. my oldest male take almost two weeks from blue to shedding out.

my Super Cinnamon will eat regardless of shed, while my other snakes won't eat. again, it depends on the individual.

Should I try feeding even if it is blue? Or should I just wait. I cant store rat in the freezer so I am buying one every feeding day so I just feel like it is better not to feed during shed is that fine ?

it never hurts to offer, and i would scent the room the snake is in to see if they poke their head out. you'll learn whether your snake will eat in shed or not after a couple more sheds.

Both my pythons eat while in blue. Just get the rat a little warmer and keep it still when you offer.

Even during shedding? Like actual shedding period?? Or are you referring to when it just has blue eyes

    Why?

If that's the case I'd skip it until it's done. I usually don't offer when one of mine is in shed.

Because my parents do not like dead rat in the freezer lol I am gonna buy one every feeding day, not a problem because it is pretty close to me. Maybe I will get a small freezer later on when I have more snakes but I am just starting my reptile hobby. I might as well try feeding couple times in shed and see how it goes.

That's understandable. But if that's the case then I wouldn't fed until your snake has shed like KMG suggested. Buying a rat everyday and then come to find out your snake doesn't want it would be a waste of money...

No just while in blue. I have never seen her actually shed.
