    Constipation Question
So the last couple of evenings my ball has seemed extra stressed. She does normally love to come out and is generally eager to explore.

I’m a bit worried that she hasn’t had a poo in a few weeks. I just moved her up to rat pups as she hit the 200 gram mark. She has had 3 feedings of the pups. She does have a sausage but right now.

She has been regular with a poo normally 2-3 days after eating.

All my temps are on point. 88-89 hot side. 78-81 cool side ambient is the same. Humidity sits around 55 percent.

I was wondering if I should give her a warm water soak to help her or just wait it out a bit? It has been only a few weeks. But she just seemed more stressed then normal. Thanks.

If she has a sausage butt it should be very soon. I would wait it out.

what you think of as a sausage butt might not be as bad as it seems. can you post a pic? Coffee Bean has had her first two weaned rats over the past two weeks and has not had a movement in over 3 weeks; she has a bit of sausage butt however i'm not worried.

if you're positive that temps are correct, then i wouldn't worry about it.

I fill up my bathtub every other weekend befor feeding and let them swim and sure enough, they poo almost instantly. I do it because they seem to really enjoy swimming. The poop is just an added bonus

Could she be in shed? I don't know about yours, but Pylox will hold it up during shed, and then when she finally does shed, she also leaves a huge "surprise". If your BP isn't in shed, then you might have to bsthe her in warm water next week before feeding.

Clean the cage and she should go. That's what usually works for mine.
    LOL
(joking... but they do seem to LOVE to go right after getting a nice clean cage, lil brats)
