Wow that's insane! The times I've ordered from Amazon for the same model it was only $7! I'm wondering if the main supplier is out of stock and other sellers are adjusting price.

    These are still $12.99

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M252EWA

You can also get straight form acurite and usually cheaper than amazon.

The probe you usually get is $9.99

of course i didn't check AcuRite.com lol. and the other one you linked doesn't have the probe, which is what i'm looking for.

thank you for the link! if no one can recommend an alternative through Amazon at least i can get them directly.

it's ridiculous! there must be a shortage through Amazon sellers, because through AcuRite.com it's in stock. regardless that mark-up can't possibly be justified.

Looks like its short stocked, similar prices are showing up on Walmart as well and that's usually what the 1-2 months marker means on Amazon. If set on that one, you're probably going to need to wait a few weeks for them to replenish stock.

Otherwise there's http://a.co/3zb5gFx which is the same as the one offered by Vivarium Electronics. As always, be prepared to salt test these small electronics to make sure they're working correctly.

thank you so much for the recommendation; that's what i was looking for. i'm not set on these ones at all, it's just what i've always bought. there's so many little probe thermometers like that, and TBH i'm about to just buy 5 different ones within the same og price range and test them all out, see who comes out on top.

If you get one of those let us know how accurate it is. The ones like it on amazon all have bad reviews but you take those with a grain of salt ;)
