    Uromastyx has worms, please help
    my uromastyx has worms for the second time in a month. i brought him to the vetr and he gave him an injection of ivermectin but now the worms are back. any ideas? thanks

    He'll probably have to be treated again. I would switch him into another cage, and completely clean and sterilize everything from his original cage (make sure the temporary housing has been completely sterilized, as well). Keep him on paper towel or newspaper until he is well again. Parasites can live for along time in certain substrates, so you need to make sure everything is clean.


    Also, if you have other animals near him, you might want to have them checked and disinfect their cages, as well. Hope this helps.
