    Reptile Basics Cage Question
I'm trying to get info on the RB 2'x4'x15" cage. I've tried asking them directly, but my email is unanswered (going on a week) and I just get voicemail when I call. I'm curious about the litter dam in the front of the cage. Does anyone know how high it is and whether it can be customized?

This is the cage for reference:

I wrote about mine here - I just measured the "dam" and it is an inch deep. You cna always put in a strip of something to raise it yourself not sure what you mean by customized (you can do something yourself, they won't).

Still haven't pulled the trigger on this. Do you have any issues with substrate spilling out?

I have enclosures like this with drop doors, including some that are RB. I use newspaper not aspen though.

Damp substrates like cypress do tend to stay put, anything dry and loose like aspen will end up on the floor.

Not at all. I keep substrate low in front and deeper in back. I also went with the LED option and love that.

Now mine had a small issue where they forgot the screws. It was no big deal to me and I even let them know to not have it happen to anyone else. If for some odd reason screws are missing these are the kind you need. They are dry wall screws and work like a champ and are super cheap. The size is #6 bugle head and 1 inch long is more than long enough.

Again not saying this will happen to you, it was a fluke with me but was no big deal. Took 15 minute trip to the hardware store and $6. If it does happen now you know what to get.
