How does the ranking/leveling work on here?
How does the ranking system work on here? i see how different people have different amounts of "reputation" (the little green bar made up of marks under their name). What exactly makes that go up? is it how much you post, how much people thank you, or a combo of both?

Thanks make it go up by 1 point

Reputation system makes it go up or down the number of point will depend on the persons Rep Power

Re: How does the ranking/leveling work on here?
Rather then create a new thread, I had a couple other things I've wondered about this site (and maybe these feature do exist and I don't know about them).

Is it possible to receive notifications when someone replies to a thread you started and/or commented on?

As w/ other forums, it would be nice if when you clicked on a previously viewed thread, the page would automatically scroll to the last message you've read rather the have to scroll through pages to find out where you left off.

    Thanks!

This is interesting, so the thank button is different than the rep button, I never even noticed the rep button. I've just been using the thanks, I'll have to start giving some rep. :)

Is there any way to know who gives you rep?

Back in the days there was only the rep system we are talking 10/12 years ago, when the thanks button was put in place the rep button started to be used less and less.

You can see the thanks and who give them to you directly under the post thanked, and to see your rep simply go in USER CP, you will also receive a notification when a rep point is given.http://i66.tinypic.com/2vvs1ur.jpg
