Creating custom lid to help with humidity!! Calling all do it yourselfers
Today I will be running to Lowe’s and purchasing some lexan, hinges, some type of locks and some chicken wire. At the moment buying a new cage is not feasible but, building a lid to maintain the humidity in a glass aquarium is. I’m going to be cutting and mounting the lexan to the original mesh lid framework adding some wire for lights and and I’m going to hinge one side. It’s essentially going to be a fully enclosed aquarium with a small side open for heating lights(unfortunately a uth not enough in this pa cold) The reason for this post was to see if anyone has done this before I would like it to still look good. Anyone else some good ideas for a cheap easy lid
Re: Creating custom lid to help with humidity!! Calling all do it yourselfers
Wow I never thought of just buying some of that insulation board and just glueing it to the mesh lid on the underside. Then cutting some holes and foil taping the openings. Much cheaper and probably a better option for my needs. This morning it was negative 16 with the crazy wind and on top of that my boy decided to start a shed. So humidity is madness right now lol
