two questions regards to ball python

My two questions are water and feeding.

So, I live in Colorado where people say tap water is safe and I sometimes drink tap water.
Is it safe to give snake tap water? I feel like if it does no harm to humans, it shouldn't to snakes but maybe I am wrong since it's my first time getting snake.
I've also seen breeders from youtube just giving tap water..
If tap water is not safe, then what water do I offer the snake? I really hope tap water is safe

Also, for feeding, when ball pythons refuse mice/rat what do you guys do with it? Maybe I should say how do you guys dispose the rat/mice? Just into the garbage can? Only will have one snake so can't pass it around

for water: if you drink it, it's safe for your snakes

for feeders: if you feed F/T then you can offer + refreeze a feeder once after refusal before it's not safe to feed. if it is not accepted after that then trash the feeder (if you live with roommates or parents: be sure it's okay to pitch feeders in the garbage).

Tap water that's safe for human consumption will be safe for your snake.

I've personally never re-frozen a feeder after refusal, but have seen enough threads to believe its ok. Plus, in tttaylorrr I trust, so I will give my endorsement as well. After that, until you have multiple snakes, tossing it is just part of snake keeping. Either toss it in the trash or if you live somewhere fairly rural, just toss it outside, something will eat it. That's what I do when I catch one in a trap. I just toss it outside and it's always gone by morning.

I live in EU, where in most countries tap water is clean and safe and it's very common for ppl to drink it - - like I do, each day. I remember being rly RLY confused when I was doing research for getting a bp when I kept reading and coming across videos about ppl making tap water safe for their reptiles to drink by using water purifiers/filters. But as mentioned, if the water is safe for human consumption, it's safe for your animals.

I've never re-frozen a feeder, either, back when my spinner was on rat pinkys and refused to eat for 4 weeks, I just kept tossing them in the trash after refusal, lol.

I've heard there can be some bad things in tap water, like chlorine that turns the tips of your houseplants' leaves brown. Distilled water can be too pure, though, as it is free from any nutrients. Instead, I fill a gallon jug with tap water and let it sit open for 24 hours so any chlorine, etc can evaporate off. I use this water for my houseplants and my bp. Snakes do have a slightly different system from us humans, afterall, so what's safe for a human might not necessarily be fine for a reptile. Now, I'm not sure if this is really necessary, but it's what I do.
