    My beep just bit herself...
I fed Coco tonight after a good shed / big ol' dookie. She always had a great feeding response, though tonight, she was a bit over excited. She was so excited she struck before I got her food all the way into her tub, and she ended up getting the mouse sideways at the shoulder and hooked her teeth onto herself :weirdface. She's still struggling with the rat fuzzy about an hour after the initial feeding (she still has it sideways at the shoulder). She has a 2 tiny puncture wounds where she bit herself.

No blood, and I can't see any flesh below the punctures. Is there anything I should do for the little puncture wounds once she gets her food down?

    Thanks everyone!

Maybe a little dab of Neosporin. I'm sure he will be fine.

Just keep tabs on it. If it starts to look swollen or red you can flush it out with some sterile saline solution if you cna find it or mix betadine with water to create a weak solution and swab it with Q-tips. If it continues to get infected you may then need to seek a vet's help but most likely nothing will be needed at all. Just keep an eye on it.

Here's a pic, turns out she tagged herself a couple times, but the right circle is the one I'm a bit more worried about. Best shot I could get ATM since I didn't want to bug her. She went right into her hot hide. Glad she got the food down, just felt bad for her. She even managed to fold the skin on her jaw onto a tooth, but she was able to fix it. And also thanks everyone for the replies :)!
