I think that hybrids are wrong, unless the animals breeding actually could meet in the wild.

I personally think hybrids are neat, obviously alot of care and knowledge is put into them to produce viable offspring. Not to pick on bpkid but the frame of mind ..only if they met in the wild is not really a solid reason to dislike the act. I would assume then that people who think this also feel that every other aspect of keeping animals should reflect what happens in nature?? When keeping these animals goes against all things natural itself I can't justifiably say it is wrong to create hybrids.

Again nothing personal to the above comment in anyway...just thoughts on the subject.

In a rare spirit of goofyness, I have this to say about hybrids ...

My good friend Carl Spackler created a hybrid consisting of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia.

FWIW, Carl looped for the Dalai Lama ... he's a very cool guy.

ive also seen angolan x ball hybrids. i think as long as the hybrids are breed to other hybrids and are not released back to Africa into the wild population im ok with it. i also like TekWarren think hybrids(espescially ball python hybrids) are cool.

i believe that if there is nothing physically wrong with the animal and it is going to have a very good life span and it is not released into the wild and it is cared for properly. then i see no physical problems but it still doesnt make it right and it doesnt make it wrong. i have seen some bcc x bci red tail boas.and they were A ok.

LOL. You know, I tried that hybrid on my front lawn. Strangest thing... my neighbors keep wanting to mow my lawn now.

Seriously, I don't see any problem whatsoever with hybrids. I'm not sure why people get their panties in a bunch about it being unnatural and such. Almost every morph out there is unnatural, but they're still cool and are probably treated better than most pets given their prices. As long as the animals don't suffer (like a venomoid) , aren't physically handicapped (like the Derma) then I say go for it.
