Still in feeding mode?

Okay so this is the first time that this has happened. This is my first snake, and i've had him for about 3 weeks now. He is 2 months old. They didn't have frozen hoppers so last night I had fed him two fuzzies. And just a few minutes ago, I had turned around to look at the tank and he struck at the glass. And now he keeps smelling around his hide entrance then goes back in a bit, and does it again every now and then. Is there a possibility that he is still in feeding mode? And I'm not sure if the scent is there in his substrate or what, but he didn't strike at the glass after that. I'm not sure if maybe its because two fuzzies was more than what he usually eats ?

It is possible for them to be in food mode for around 48 hours. On the other hand, both hoppers and fuzzies are too small for a ball python that age. Upgrade to small mice if you can.

Also, as mentioned above, they prey you're feeding is too small for a BP. Small adult mice are probably best right now

Definitely still in feeding mode. One of my snakes has such a strong feeding response that, even after gorging himself, he will strike at anything that moves or looks at him for the next hour or so. I have to leave the room so he doesn’t hurt himself!

Alright, thanks everyone. It's just the first time he's done this so i wasn't sure but I will see about getting him a small mouse next time.
