Need advice/help

I recently noticed my baby ball pythons head was a little different looking than normal, today I got her out and it was completely different than before. I’m not sure if it’s from rubbing on something or what. I removed her rocky water bowl and replaced it with a plastic one because she liked to go under it and I removed the bedding and put newspaper. Her humidity stays at 60-65 always and her heat pad stays around 90. What should I do?

Honestly looks like stuck shed more than a scar or scratch. It does look like your snake was rubbing however but that might be to get the shed off. You can either leave it be and check next shed or soak her and see if it comes off.

I noticed it looked a little discolored before but it looks like she rubbed it. She hasn’t gone in shed in over a month but she’s probably going to soon. I was just shocked at the difference in just a couple of days. I’m not sure how to stop them from rubbing on stuff. I am soaking her now and thinking about putting some Neosporin on it.

I would not bother with neosporin. Just monitor it after a soak and see how it looks. My thought is it will look much better once that old shed is removed.

Okay thanks I will look after it and see how it goes, I’ve never had any of my snakes do this so I was worried.

Agreed.

Our snake just had his 1st shed and it looked just like that with the little bit stuck on his head. I didn't bother trying to get it off other than a soak and some passes with a wet towel as he's not a big fan of me messing with his head. I bumped up the humidity to 70% and in about 48 hours he was able to get it off on his own rubbing against some cork bark. It's like a snake scratching post. ;)
