Let's talk BP prices!

Sorry if me talking about money annoys you, I just wanted to know how much normal BPs cost in foreign countries! List your country, and the average price in your country for a normal ball python! I'll start, I'm Indonesian and I bought Pylox for Rp 400,000.- which is US$ 29.5

If you go to the right breeder you can probably get them for free. Otherwise maybe 30-50 USD.

No doubt you can get male normals for free here in US, females for something like $10-30.

Here in Colorado at the shows people sell them for $20-$30. The local reptile shop will buy all my normal hatchlings for $15, he resells them for $50. I believe big chain pet stores sell them for around $80.

When I have normals I sell males for $10 and females for $20. I have gone lower to get them out of my racks. Texas/USA

This year (2018) I'm doing my first reptile show at Repitcon Colorado. I don't mind having a few Normals in my display case to target all potential customers. I actually should have quite a few this year as I'm breeding my males to a few Normal females. Those Normals almost look Calico or hinting towards Lesser or Cinnamon but I bought them as just plain ol Normals. I'm breeding with just a single Co-Dom in most cases this year just to see what the Normal offspring look like. If I have some other genes in there I should get 50% of the hatchlings looking a bit different (assuming it's not recessive). I think it's a good place to start proving out Normals. If I had some five or six gene males it would be almost impossible to tell if the Normal females had some influence. Next year I'm going to pick up some multi gene males, the cool thing about Normal females is that I can prove out the males, especially if I have a white snake (male) that has a lot of potential genes in the mix. Usually you can pick them up pretty cheap because most people guess at the other genes because you can't see them, just have to prove them out. And not knowing for sure usually brings the price down a lot. Believe it or not about 10 years ago a mature Normal female would sell for over $1,000! You can still recoup that cost in the first year if you breed her with just about any multi gene male.

I've seen normals go for 10-20 bucks from breeders, pet stores seem to tend to charge more for them. My local pet store sells normals for 30-40 dollars depending on age and sex.

Baby normals, depending on where you get them go for $40-$70 around North Carolina
Adult normals are going anywhere from $50-$200 and seem to vary wildly depending age and sex of the animal, and if they come with any kind of enclosure.
