    FB Groups
This might not technically be allowed but it is sort of a warning
I do see that Facebook groups do reply VERY quickly which is nice but..
they are HORRIBLE! I have been kicked or left every ball python group on Facebook except for mine (ball pythons <3)
and it can be for the STUPIDEST reasons like just now I got kicked from one because I didn't give my age...
and other were calling me a troll for "speaking more 'educated' on my personal page then this group'!!!!!! I was asking actual questions I was ACTUALLY worried about! But I am glad you guys can take no for an answer (most of the time ;)
But if you guys see this DON'T go into them they are horrible!!!! (except mine it is like me and my dude friend lol)

Depends on the group. The ones i'm in have been pretty good although there are the idiots in there but they get weeded out. I am not a member of any BP groups though. I am a member of retic and boa groups. The only one which is kinda uppity is Retic Nation. I guess it used to be a very nice and knowledgeable site but a lot of the good folks left and now it is filled with epeen flexing 'kids' who think owning a retic makes you cool and will get you ladies lol.

LOL I totally agree a few of the ball python specific FB groups are WILD. It’s kind of funny. :P I left all of them, because I can’t stand it.

Other species groups aren’t so bad though! There’s a dumeril’s boa group, scrub group, and green tree python group that are all pretty nice and chill. Basically anything but ball pythons.

I divorced FB a long time ago. When I did have FB, i was on a group that involved BP's. It appeared to be one of or possibly tbe largest FB group concerning BP's. I didn't last too long once I realized that the group was under almost a dictatorship control of a few people with a total IQ level of a snake shed.

I’ll say it’s no longer the largest group :D Still the most infamous and funny though

Yeah I'm a member of the dumerils one too and that one is pretty laid back. Like i said, i never joined any of BP FB pages but then again, no offense to BP owners as i own one too, but they are pretty much the 'mainstream' reptile pet so you know all the 'cool' kids have a BP and kids+internet=keyboard warriors lol. Retic Nation like i said, has become the same way. It's just older kids with bigger pythons who think its cool to own the biggest retic you can power feed lol.

Although there are plenty of idiots on the other FB pages like i said. I got in an argument with some idiot about my Meltzer/Lincoln line BCL. He said it wasnt a BCL as it didnt have the cross headstamp and that Stockl was the only one to produce 'real' BCL. So after i enlightened him that actually Stockl didnt discover the subspecies, it was Vin Russo and that my BCL came from parents from Russo's 2010 striped litter and Legacy Reptiles Meltzer/Lincoln BCL and if he looked at the Stockl stuff, not all of his has cross heastamps too. He then tried to argue other points which i proved wrong. So then he got made and called me a noob so i fired back with why dont you use a real name on FB and not hide behind a character from a Steven King book the Dark Tower. I then told him, if he wanted to argue this more, lets take it over to the BCL FB page or the Pure-Locality-Boa page and i can have others then show how wrong you are. He called them all noobs too. Was rather entertaining lol.

The various forums and/or Facebook groups are as good or as bad as the people who administer them. The ones that are poorly moderated are typically the worst.

As a whole, I feel that facebook reptile groups are one of the worst places that the reptile hobby runs through, whether this is due to the general Facebook-group effect or the fact that the groups reach a lot of people worldwide, I don't know. People are catty, attention-seeking (hey look at my snake ((barely concealed breasts))) and are actively rude to other members.

I saw a new and eager keeper showing off their snake on a group the other day, asking for advice on what to pair it with, and one of the few responses was practically an essay about how inferior their animal is and how it should never be bred, as well as them trying to flex their e-muscles by listing whatever credentials they had that they thought supported their judgement. It was really quite unpleasant!
