    Semiarid Bioactive Substrate Recipe?
Does anyone have a good substrate mix recipe for a bioactive vivarium with 50% and lower humidity? Hoping to concoct a mix for my North American snakes. Maybe even requiring no drainage layer. [emoji38] All input, tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated~

Coir, peat, sphagnum, dirt from a pesticide free area, cypress mulch, leaf litter, and play sand all make good ingredients. It really depends on the consistency you like. Cypress and leaf litter do good sitting on top of something else.
