if u can keep your humidity at or above 70% a humid hide shouldnt be neccisary. i asked this same question when my BP went through its last shed. I did however try and keep my humidity level around 75 % just incase there was a drop over night, it was still in teh 70 range.

you dont do anything but raise the humidity unless it has a problem shedding, but usually if it doesnt shed in one place the rest comes off within the next couple/few days

The first shed Jake had with me was a greek tragedy. About 3000 pieces, stuck on the glass of the cage and all. Seemed like individual scales all over the place. Well, this shed just completed, and I didn't even see him doing it. One ball of shed, I misted it to get it a little more pliable, and rolled it out and its complete!

The only thing I did was raise the humidity to around 65-70%. I'm in a REALLY dry climate and I have to mist three to four times a day. I also soak his wooden hide nightly before I go to bed. That seems to keep his humidity up enough. No humid hide needed this time. I was really happy about the shed. Made me feel better about my husbandry skills! :) (Thanks, btw all who helped)

Usually 7-10 days I think. Once the eyes clear up it's about 48hrs until you should have a shed. Don't worry it'll happen soon! :D

for me mt BP's are blue eyed for about 4 days (give or take a day) then clear up for about three days (give or take a day) and than they shed.
