Now a noise?

So finally got the temperature right, humidity.

I just took her out for a little bit just now, things were good but then as I was heading to put her back, she started t have a strange noise as she breathed? I've had her for a few weeks and only shed once since then, but she has been eating like a hog. Should I keep an eye on it or should I have her looked at?

I noticed too when she eats, there is quite a bit of extra saliva? Not sure if that's normal or not?

Audible breathing isn't always a concerning issue. We have a male that is a noisy breather when he is stressed. However, the excess saliva MAY indicate a respiratory infection.

Vet time.

She was fine, no noise when I had her out, even when she was close to my ear. But when I was putting her back, she started to make the noise.

It was when she breathed out, it sorted reminded me of a hiss but wasn't?

Her hot is 91-92. Doesn't go any lower then 88.
Cold is 80-82. Humidity is at 55+.

Like I said before she hasn't shed for two+ weeks. She only shed once which was back at the end of August/first of September. Never heard her make the noise before.

A forgot to mention -
Fed her on Saturday. She ended up moving the substrate on the hot side so she was on the glass with the heat pad and stayed there til late Sunday night/early morning Monday.

When I took her out last night, I noticed she had a pink belly. I know it could be the stages of shed or burning. But can they still get burned if the temp is at 91-92?

No she can't get burned if the temp is actually 92. How are you measuring that temp and what do you have the thermostat set to? If it was actually 92 on the glass then you are good. Pink is the very first stage of shed.

Some audible breathing is normal, especially if there is something stuck in their nose like a piece of substrate or leftover shed, and they breathe harder.

If it sounds like a whistle and continues often, it may be RI. Later stages of RI show clear mucous bubbles in/around the mouth. You can find pics of it on google.

The thermostat is right on the heat pad and it's at 91.
Got two heat guns and when fully heated it's 91-92 and I temp it right on the glass.

She was playing around in my hair last night, guess she could have gotten a piece in her nose :O

I sprayed the tank this morning before work, I'll do it again tonight. She has to be close to shed after eating 6 times or so since I've had her, right?

I'll keep a close eye on her. Maybe I'll go down and there will be a shed waiting for me, haha.

Shed stages are (these are not always super obvious)

Pinkish belly - first few days to a week
Dull scales leading to cloudy eyes commonly called going "blue" - up to a week after pink belly and up to a week in this blue stage
Clearing up getting ready to actually shed - 2-3 days usually after week of being in blue to up to a week as well.

The first two stages are noticeable looking at your snake. Once they clear up form having cloudy eyes it can take a week and that is the part that is usually the unknown because they almost look like they shed but they haven't yet. the thing is they shed when they need to not on a schedule so it could be soon or it could be months apart. Depends on the growth of the snake.
