    Repti bark vs coconut husk
Hello all I am going to get some bedding today for my female burm and was winding the pros and cons of each. Also if possible post your experiences good and bad with each and photos if you have them.

I have 0 experience with large snakes. Might get better responses in one of the python subsections. Google says the humidity requirements are the same as ball pythons so the answer really is how dry it is in your home and what type of enclosure you are using. I would assume due to the large size of these that paper would actually be better for general clean up.

I use Orchid bark for all mine . Think it's similar to ReptiBark - maybe someone can confirm ?!?

Great for keeping your humidity at the desired level and makes snakes colours stand out where lighter substrate can appear to drain the snake's colours out .

    Ah .. ingesting substrate ??

Many say it doesn't even exist but I've seen photos of impaction so why take the risk ?

I simply place a few pieces of card over the viv floor and feed on top of the card .

Never had an issue ... feeding 20 snakes a week for years ...
