    hello new guy herever
Hello I'm new here. I got my first snake when I was 4 from my aunt for a birthday gift. (I don't think my parents were as excited as I was about that) I'm 30 now and still addicted to them. I have a abino corn snake who is about 10 years old, a normal ball python who is about 7 to 8 years old. The people I got him from thought he was a boa when they bought him and couldn't care for him any more . I also have a banana ball python that's about 1.5 years oldhttps://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...1800x1800.jpeghttps://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...-1600x900.jpeghttps://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...1200x2133.jpeg

Welcome! Looks like you've got one chill cat who's willing to share their scratch post with your bp.

Sorry to jump on this right away, but are you still using the analog thermometer I see in the beeps tank? Those are pretty inaccurate, being about 10 degrees off. Just wanted to let you know, although someone more experienced might weigh in on this :)

That's fine. The pic are a month or two old. For years all I used were the analog ones but with hearing that on here I got some digital ones and put them at floor level and have found the old ones I had are not accurate at all.

Be very careful with your cat on the loose right near your snake. You can never be too careful. You just never know when the cat may decide to go after the snake. That could end badly for both.

I am, that's my older one he has no interest in them he just likes to his own thing. My kitten tho I make sure is in a different room when they are out.

Love seeing mature snake pictures so thank you for putting them up and welcome to the forum

Be very careful of cats and dogs near snakes. A docile cat is one spook away from a very expensive vet visit and a long sleepless night of worry.

Thank you. I agree 100% one must use caution when handling snakes or any animal when there are others around
