    G-Stripe
So I was wandering around WOB and was playing around with the Genetic Canculater. I was wondering 1.) How do you make a Axanthic G-Stripe?? From what I've seen so far on the Genetic Wizard you cant just breed a G-Stripe and Axanthic togther and evetually get Axanthic G-Stripes. 2.) Whats your favorite G-Stripe combo? Or do you just like the Morph by itself?

    I apologize for the spelling

Well, if you're lucky, you'd probably find an axanthic (let's say VPI line) that's het g-stripe, and a g-stripe that's het VPI axanthic, and breed them together. With luck you'd get about 1/4 of the babies being VPI axanthic genetic stripe.

You could breed an axanthic and a g-stripe together, then use their double het babies to get axanthic g-stripes, but it'd probably take longer, and you'd get lost in possible hets with all the non-visible normal-appearing hatchlings.

Don't cross axanthic lines, they're not compatible with each other.

I follow someone one tumblr that has a VPI axanthic g-stripe and goodness, she is absolutely STUNNING. If I wanted another ball python I'd probably do a VPI axanthic line...... maybe g-stripe. Maybe. I'm not sold on it yet lol.

Double receive are a long term project, to achieve that you have to at the very minimum pair a DH Axanthic G-Stripe to a DH Axanthic G-Stripe only giving you 1/16 chance per egg to hatch an Axantchic G-Stripe. Depending on where you are started and your luck you might look at 10 years worth the work and tons of offspring being produced before achieving what you want

Is it worth it? Depends is it for you or to sell? if it's for your own collection it's always worth it, if it is an investment project well G-Stripe are no longer in high demand since the appearance of the Super Stripe and Puma.

Because of the lack of interest not many people work with them anymore but there are still a few out there that do.

Nice but not a Genetic Stripe combo, the genetics are completely different.

I know their similar though. Just wanted to throw out a snake that has some similar genetics. Superstripe looks a little more similar though. Sorry didn't mean to go off topic.

They're not similar genetics at all haha, super stripe is made up of specter and yellowbelly. G-stripe is its own separate recessive gene.

    1. as Deb mentioned, a G-Stripe Axanthic is double recessive. it would be timely and difficult to produce but they sure are purdy.

    2. my G-Stripe combo is Cat: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...251395-Cat-Pix

    here she is:
