rescue efforts close to home
http://www.cthumane.org/site/PageSer...rricane_Relief
Hi all,
Some of my teammates at work left last night to go down to aid in the relief efforts. I am now fostering baby kittens on top of our rescue here. (what a great mix..lol) There may be another group leaving next week and I may tag along to help. I am still undecided. It depends on how busy RR is and how my husband's health is.
We (Rusty Reptiles) are enlisted with many groups accross the nation to aid in releif efforts. I am sure that saving snakes is not the number one priority right now (understandably) But we are here and on call 24/7 if needed.
We may be fostering or permanently placing certain animals if needed.
I hope everyone is well
Rusty
Re: rescue efforts close to home
That is great to hear Rusty......has anyone heard about the animals at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans? I am from the southeast louisiana area and have been having trouble finding out their status.
Re: rescue efforts close to home

I was wondering how those dolphins fared that were moved to a motel swimming pool for the storm!
Re: rescue efforts close to home
wow it is becoming very hectic.
The CT Humane Society is set up in a huge expo center and has been pullied in over 2000 animals, from dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, horses, cows and a few goats.
People that i work with and myself will be taking ten day shifts of going down their and also manning the shelter here for normal buisness, which hasn't been very easy.
anyhow just needed to vent, it's been quite a day
Thanks
Rusty
+edit: so hectic I can't even spell my name
