    Sex Of Bp
I noticed on my bp that he/she has a little slice on the under side of the belly is this a sign that it is a female?

There is no way to tell if a snake is male or female be examining the outside. Internal probing or a technique called popping are the only accurate way to determine sex. (both of which need to be done by an experienced person)

We just had our vet (who is herp experienced) probe two of ours. Both girls!

It's very easy, very quick and didn't seem to bother the snakes at all. Not terribly expensive either though I'd phone around to find a vet that will do it and not charge too much.

The little slice is it's "belly button," where the yolk sack was attached in the egg.

Actually, it may be your snakes cloaca.

Vertical slit is the umbilicus ... horizontal slit is the cloaca.

(but that description really depends on how you're holding the snake :P )
