bad shed

so bonnie is having a poor shed :( i know i should soak her in luke warm water and use a cloth to help her finish. what kind of cloth should i use?

I’ve heard that a bath towel will do just fine, but you might wait for another (read: more experienced lol) person to answer :)

Regular bath towel is what I use, I just make sure there isn't not cotton strands or a bunch of the little cotton balls on the towel to get stuck to their scales.

We have all been there done that.
Microfiber?! I thought I spoiled my snake. They have scales, they can handle the roughness that is a regular old washcloth!!! :P
I just toss a clean wash cloth in the tub whenever there is stuck shed and watch as poor old Dante flails helplessly in the dungeon of water I just made him go into. He still hisses anytime it is bath time so it never gets better!

I used a baby wash cloth but I'm sure any wash cloth would work though. After soaking the shed comes off really easily you'll most likely see some floating in the water.

I have always just used my fingers. That way i can gently rub/roll it off. Gives me a much better feel that the soaking was sufficient or do I need to soak longer.

i was thinking microfiber because it's still in its packaging and would be sterile and free from any residual perfumes or soaps from the laundry cycle. I'm home from work now and getting her bath ready now. How should i measure her water temp? was thinking a candy thermometer would work best.
