Do not confuse people! Desert is NOT the way to go, it’s a completely different morph!!! This is Desert ghost! I hate that they have such similar names because Desert is a morph that is known for problems, the females can not reproduce! This beautiful animal Zina posted has nothing to do with Desert, she is DESERT GHOST, the best inhancing morph and possibly best anything morph depending on who you talk to :D

Ahhhh .... I don't breed so I have no idea but every stunning snake I seem to see these days seems to have about 4 different types/ genes in it and the only ONE that I see cropping up in them all is the DESERT so I just used logic .
Why use the word Desert if they have problems and they're not connected ?
If I see a new morph with SPIDER in it I'd presume it was related to the Spider morph and proceed with caution .

I'm not sure why it was called Desert Ghost.
Perhaps because Deserts had a similar appearance, although a completely different gene ? For example, the Desert gene is "dominant" while the Desert Ghost gene is "recessive".
It can get confusing, esp. for people that have never had much to do with either gene. The "Desert" breeding "disaster" was often talked about during the past few years , so when people hear "Desert" (whether Desert or Desert Ghost) some of them just assume they are the ones with the breeding problems. I have to admit, when I first heard of (and saw) Desert Ghost, I too, was wondering if they were related..
But, I'm glad they are not. I love the way the Deserts look and I love the way the Desert Ghost looks even more :) So I'm happy that there is such a thing and I feel thankful that I was able to fulfill my dream of owning some of them.
I thank you, and everybody else, for the nice compliments :)
I need to take better pictures of all of them, in better light and a better camera. That particular highlighter yellow hue is really difficult to capture.
Again, thank you, all :)
