    Burmese Caging question
Okay, so I'm starting to build my Burmese a large enclosure for when he reaches adulthood. I am planning to have clear doors that open on the front, and was wondering what the best material for that would be? (glass, plexiglass, etc.) What style of door is best?(example; Sliding glass doors, etc.) And what thickness of the material would you recommend?

My husband build 2 cages out of plywood and plexiglass for mine a few years ago and they are still holding up nicely, they are 8'x3'x3'. We used 1/4th inch thick plywood. Here's a pic

Don't mind the clutter lol currently moving everything into a bigger room so it's a bit disorganized lol xD

Putting on my engineer hardhat, I’d go for lexan over glass or plexiglass for doors, especially with the possibility of a giant species bouncing off of it. Lexan is much tougher than plexi, and IIRC is also less prone to discoloring with age and/or degrading with exposure to UV from sunlight.

Glass is more resistant to scratching and degradation than either plexi or lexan, but gets heavy - we have plexi doors on our 2’ and 3’ tall AP cages with swinging doors for that reason.
