Pinewood and Compressed Wood for Reptile rack
Would it be safe to use plywood planks and compressed wood planks in order to build a reptile rack? I know it's not safe to use pine as bedding or when building custom tanks but it's it bad if I use it to build racks or a stand?
Plese let me know
Thank you

I've always been told to stay away from pine.

I'd be interested in this, I know people who have kept snakes (including ball pythons) on pine for over 20 years without any noticeable issues

I have known people who have used it without issue for years as well, myself included. (in the early 90s it was what I used as I was unfamiliar with aspen and cypress mulch) Some people have speculated the particular animals that had issues were just sensitive to it. Sadly with the loss of most forums the documented information is lost.
