    Sand boas and genetics.
Are there any sites that have a genetic calculator for KSBs?
Are there any sites with a list of morphs for them?
I'm looking at purchasing a pepper stripe sand boa.
Are there other names for the pepper Gene so I would be able to find it on morph market?
    Any advice?
How different is it to house a sand boa compared to a ball python?

Don't know of any websites for the genetic information or calculators for ksb. Regarding keeping, they are pretty straight forward, the standard ball python enclosure can work, but need to make sure it is plenty secure. When i kept Kenyans I usually kept them in tanks instead of enclosures or racks since their humidity needs were minimal and the room the tanks were in was heated.

I don't keep sand boas so cannot say how good the above link is. For a calculator, use the ball python calculator at www.worldofballpythons.com. Just change the name of the mutant gene. For example, breeding splash KSBs works exactly the same way as breeding albino ball pythons because both mutant genes are recessive to the corresponding normal gene. In the calculator results, simply change the name "albino" to "splash".

Please post general questions about genetics in the Morphs and Genetics forum in the Ball Pythons section of these forums. I drop in there every day or two. I happened on this thread only by accident.

    Good luck.
