    Need a thermostat.
Has anyone had any experience with the new exo terra? It's pulse and dimming proportional and half the price of a herpstat 1. I'd like the herpstat, but it's spendy.

Does this one fail off or wide open? After having had thermostats fail I would get a decent one that fails off not wide open.

Around $20 less for a product that doesn't even have alarms or emergency shutoff. I guess this is an options but for all the features the herpstat offers and its tract record, I would spend the few dollars more.

The retail price is £73 which is around $93 and the herpstat 1 basic is $115 just in case you wonder how I came to the $20 estimate.

Please go with the safest option. It really isn't much of a price difference, but the difference of the product is huge. Do you already have your snake?

In the US, the difference is significant. $70 for the exo terra, and $140 for the herpstat.

Herpstat 1 basic is $115 not $140 (that is the full herpstat 1) and is the equivalent of this but with better safety features. I would love to see what or even if this is for sale in the US as all I could find is in the UK, EU, and Australia.

Do you have a link to any place where this is for sale in the US?

The only video I find on this is this one

I'm not familiar with this company though.
